ICT progress

ICT progress and side effects
For better economic progress communication is essential part. In our country different system are available to the communication system. We don’t need to say that hole Information and communication system change the image of the globe. It has become the key of facilitating world wide information, globalization ideas and knowledge, product and people. The road transport, sea transport, river, railway, etc are the main transportation system in Bangladesh. Singularly every of this has separate contribution to the economical growth of this country. Like these there is another part of communication which has a huge contribution ‘Information and communication technology’. It can contribute to good governance by political, economical, social and cultural development. In this world of globalization, IT revolution is a nation’s proper access to information and communication technology which is a must for national development. It has different roles like, Decision making process by each agency and ministry of the govt. could be aided with ICT. Governance may bring transparency in the govt. operations. We can develop a simple and effective tax collection system for NBR. Education, employment sector, rural health-care, can be developed through use of ICT. Business and Banking sector can be more easy, speedy and development through process of ICT development. The ICT may be used in our manufacturing sector. It may provide as higher productivity and lower cost and effective international marketing in the garments, jute, leather, frozen fish and packaged food sector. Another part of communication is Transit, Transshipment and corridor. Transit refers to the passage across another country’s territory using its own transports, where transshipment refers to the same movement using the transport of transiting countries. For example- if India using its own transport dispatches commodities through Bangladesh to North-Eastern provinces, we may call this transit system. On the other side if India dispatches commodities using Bangladeshi transport through Bangladeshi land, we may call it transshipment system. Another system of communication is telecommunication. Now this world is a world of technology so telecommunication is a part of the technology. For this the world becomes a global village. Recently Bangladesh starts to communicate with the world with optical fiber. By this optical fiber every district can easily use the Internet. They can make communication with the whole world without any problem. ICT would be harmful for the country if it misses some kind of firewall or something that could prevent the Hackers.

ICT progress and side effect of Bangladesh

Go Bangladesh....

This year the society of World Telecommunication and Information day celebrated on 17th May across the world along with Bangladesh. Broadband for sustainable development was the theme. By this system the whole world make their communication about business, empowered women, knowledge sharing and communities. Bangladesh has make an unbelievable progress in the ICT sector. This is a much different from the past two decades. Now a days the whole community is looking at the insignificant matters of the society. Bangladesh is male dominated country. Female are far behind to the development of the country. ICT is taking the country to the way of being digital. All sectors are under the blessings of technology. Most of the government offices using the system to communicate with the progress of the world. Now a days all sectors are under the electronic process, like e-banking, e-commerce etc. Every government offices are using the digital system of ICT which are taking them to the people. The information right is another department by govt. of Bangladesh. By this department the govt. is trying to assure the fundamental rights of the people of Bangladesh. Agriculture is another part of being digital. The scientists are using the technology to make a history for the economical growth of Bangladesh. Now a day they discover the hybrid of the crops. In the Banking sector ICT has an influential credit. In any branch of the country people can take their money from abroad without any problem. This is a benefit of the ICT. In Bangladesh there are more than 50 IT farm which are developing the communication skill of the country. In a word it can say that Bangladesh is developing by the wide communication side of the country. The airway in Bangladesh is called ‘Biman Bangladesh Airlines’. ‘Shahjalal International Airport’ is the main airport of Bangladesh. There are three International and five inner-airports in Bangladesh. This airport is now maintaining 18 airlines of different countries. Bangladesh Biman has 14 airplanes though the small capital. The entire communication system in Bangladesh is now in a great position. Biman should be very low in cost and by the increasing of the airports this sector will be very much benefited sector for the country. But some times websites hacked by some bad thinkers so the technologists have to make sure that they are protected from the bad peoples.

In this world of globalization, IT revolution is a nation’s proper access to information and communication technology which is a must for national development. It has different roles like,

Bangladesh is now in a danger

For the development of any country socio-economic development is very important. The equal balance of produced goods to the market works as the essential fundamental essence of a country. Overall to establish a good relation with rest of the world it is important to build a good communication with them. Every country of the world is interred related with communication. There are different systems of communication like transport system, information system, transit, transshipment, corridor etc. The most valuable system is transport. In Bangladesh this system is very poor. The roads are with two lanes by which the transportation becomes dilly dally. The railways, ships, airways make good communication to the country as well as to the world. The road transport is main part of the entire system. Through every district this system runs. By the Jamuna, Padma, Rupsha, Dhorola, Buriganga, Meghna etc. Bridges make great change to the transportation system. According to the statistics of 2005, the country has 2,41,0286 kilometer long road. On the roads the main vehicles are Buses, Trucks, and Minibuses and others runs. The Railway has 2854.96 kilometer long way. People use this transport for comfortable and risk free journey. There are two types of rail line in the country one is Broad-Gage and meter-Gage. This system is the oldest and satisfying route by the govt. of Bangladesh. It contributes a lot to the socio-economic development of the country. It is very cheap in cost to transport the goods. Bangladesh is a country of river. There are 230 rivers in the country. There are two types of route in the country one is International route and the inner route. Through the international route the traders export and import their business goods. For this shipment there are two main ports called Mongla and Potenga in Bangladesh. A very familiar and easy route for the people to communicate with the capital Dhaka is inner- route. This route used by the southern 16 districts like Madaripur, Shariotpur, Chandpur etc... The main ports of the river are Dhaka, Chandpur, Barishal, Narayonganj and others. The cost of this route is very low so the traders use this route for their better business. A common phase in Bangladesh

Economic crisis is now a common phase in Bangladesh. But now the the economical condition is developing geometrically. It was saying that corruption, loan avoiding is increasing but the secret agency of central bank (BFIU) is saying it is becoming down in their annual report. In current economic year 2014-2015 the lacking of trade is doubled. It is seen that the lack trading is 448 and above crore dollars where it was only 225 crore dollars. The export has increased by 91 percent and import is 16 percent. Bangladesh Bank is positive though this downfall. They gave a report on the economical crisis on the day before yesterday. The critics tells about the statistics of the downfall may cause for the continuing of ‘OBORODH’ by the opposite political party BNP. In this economic year the downfall is near about 88 crore dollars. The GDP of recent year will be 6.5 percent says the UNSCUP. This agency says this according to the present satiation in Bangladesh. In 2014 the GDP was 5.6 percent. This economic development will helpful for the other developing countries. This will be possible only if the country goes freely without any ‘HARTAL’, ‘OBORODH’ and other political incidents. From the last few days the tradings are falling down. None can do anything against this. The workers are going to their work place by risking their lives. They works not only for them but also for our national economic growth. The biggest agency of garments and knitwear BGMEA are very much worried about the present situation. They are seeking help from the govt. for delivering their orders to the buyers. The foreign buyers are not happy with the late deliver of their product. BGMEA wants from the govt. that they want armed security to protect their goods. The political parties are not coming to a subtle decision that people can breath in peace. ‘Share Market’ has a great contribution to the economy of any country as do our country. But for the political reason this market is falling day by day. The prices is going down everyday the brokers are fall in loss become bankrupt. Civil Society, SUJON, Human Rights Watch etc. are calling the two party to come or make decision that the general people would be no more the worst sufferer of the political incidents.

Coffee House

That get together at the coffee house is no more, no more
Where have the golden evenings lost, they are no more, no more
Nikhilesh is in Paris, Moudul is in Dhaka, they are not in any news today
Grand's guitarist Goaniz DeSuza is sleeping in grave
Loving someone, getting hurt at last, Roma Roy is incarcerated in mental institution
Amol is struggling with tough cancer, life has not forgiven him, alas!
That get together at the coffee house is no more, no more
Where have the golden evenings lost, they are no more, no more
Only Shujata today is living as the happiest person
Heard her husband is a millionaire
She is adorned with diamonds and golds completely
Her car and home are all pricey
Art college's student Nikhilesh Shamlal
used to draw picture for advertisements
And with full of talks in her eyes, like a silent listener
that Shujata only sat nearby
That get together at the coffee house is no more, no more
Where have the golden evenings lost, they are no more, no more
In one table that three or four hours, Char Minar cigarette burnt from the lips
Sometime Bishnu Dey, sometime Kamini Ray, debates went around about them
In hot sunlight or storm or the rain, wherever anyone was, after work we came to that place
Starting from four, having stimulating discussions, around seven thirty we used to get up
That get together at the coffee house is no more, no more
Where have the golden evenings lost, they are no more, no more
Poetic faced, hanging bag from the shoulder, Amol's name will be erased
Not a single poem of his got published, didn't get the appreciation of his talent
In the office's social manager, Roma Ray acted in drama
And read aloud what the newspaper's reporter Moidul wrote
That get together at the coffee house is no more, no more
Where have the golden evenings lost, they are no more, no more
That seven persons are not there today but that table is still there
Even seven cups are not empty
In the same garden blossomed the new flowers
Only that past day's gardener is not there
How many dream's sunlight rages in that coffee house
How many dreams get covered by the clouds
How many came and gone, and how many will come
Only the coffee house remain as it is
That get together at the coffee house is no more, no more
Where have the golden evenings lost, they are no more, no more

Very Rude Condition ..

The present political condition in Bangladesh is very rude. The main opposition party BNP tried to arrange a meeting on 5 January but the govt. or Awami league does not give them the permission to held meetings. The BNP says the day as “Gonotontro Muti Dibosh” but Awami league go against this declaration. Dhaka metropolitan police banned all kinds of gathering and rally and the rulling Awami League’s activists will attend in the streets on Monday, 5 January. They banned all kind of vehicles all over the country along with Dhaka. The Chairperson of BNP Begum Khaleda Zia locked at the Gulshan office temporarily. All country’s supporters of BNP held small meetings. When Chatradall trying to held meetings and Chatralegaue was in the field to prevent them. At the midnight near about 600 leaders arrested all over the country. The people say that day was Hartal day declared by the govt. The general people become fed up with this activity of the govt. as well as the Awami League and BNP. The civil society says that it is completely wrong for the govt. BNP declares ‘Oborodh’ from the very next day till further notice. The private Chanel ETV banned in that day. By the several incidents 4 people dies and many injured all over the country. Yesterday police arrested Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alomgir the senior leader of BNP for the activities. The Chairperson is locked in her office till now. The govt. saying that she needs extra protection. BNP says that it is nothing but the arrest of the chairperson. The senior vice chairman Tarek Zia send a massage to the supporters of BNP to take part in the rally and meetings. On the other hand The prime minister of Bangladesh gave a lecture towards the people of Bangladesh on that night. She advised the people that nothing worry about the incident this is nothing but the cruel management of BNP about come again to the power. She also says that while the country is going to the successive path and the BNP is trying to turn it back. But it will no longer happening they will be stooped anyway. Now the ‘Oboroth’ is running no vehicles are running on the street. The general people are suffering for this they are totally not happy with the activities of the two big political parties. The civil society says that these two parties should avoid all the unhelpful activities for the people because they are not the part of  politics

is not a place for overnight stay for any wanted accused.

Awami League joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif on Tuesday urged journalists to hand BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, who has been staying at the Jatiya Press Club since Monday afternoon, over to the police.

Hanif also commented that the Jatiya Press Club is not a place for overnight stay for any wanted accused.

“Jatiya Press Club is a place for journalists, not a place for overnight stay for any accused wanted in cases… journalists should hand him over to the legal custody,” Hanif said.

Hanif came up with the remarks while talking to the media at Awami League president Sheikh Hasina's Dhanmondi political office today morning.

Fakhrul remained confined to the Jatiya Press Club since Monday afternoon as Projanma League activists stopped him from leaving the club after he attended a rally there.

shun subversive activities

Voicing her firm commitment to come out of the vicious cycle of bad politics, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday urged Khaleda Zia to shun subversive activities, killing people, hurling bombs and grenades and making arson attacks that only cause losses to lives and property,

1.We want to come out of the vicious cycle of bad politics, we want to establish the politics which is for the country and the welfare of its people,2. she said in her address to the nation.

The Prime Ministers address, marking the first anniversary of the 10th general election held on January 5, 2014, was aired simultaneously by all TV channels and radio stations.

In her 25-minute speech, Hasina alleged that efforts are on to create again instability and anarchy in the country when Bangladesh has been on the highway of development with the united efforts of all.

ll call upon the BNP chief to shun subversive activities, killing people, hurling bombs and grenades, making arson attacks and causing losses to lives and property, she added.

The Prime Minister said it was politically wrong decision of Khaleda Zia for which she and her party are now out of parliament. Whom do you blame? You've to blame yourself only!

Urging her arch rival to return to the path of peace shunning that of destruction, Hasina said on the way Khaleda Zia was walking would not bring any welfare for people. Instead, you all lose peoples trust and confidence further. People want security, peace and prosperity.

Hasina advised the BNP chairperson to let the common people know what she wants to do for the socioeconomic development of the countrys people. Rebuild your own party, only then you have some possibility in the future.

The Prime Minister said the trial of war criminals Rajakars and Albadars who had committed genocide are going and their verdicts are in progress. Inshaallah, well execute the trial verdicts of all the war criminals,

Hasina alleged that the evil forces of darkness who do not believe in the existence of Bangladesh, do not want betterment of people are trying to spread the net of conspiracy in a bid to thwart the trial and save the war criminals.

Recalling the reign of terror unleashed by the BNP-Jamaat alliance to foil the January-5 election and also to save the war criminals, Hasina said the BNP-Jamaat cadres had set fire to hundreds of vehicles, vandalised thousands of vehicles, cut thousands of trees on both sides of the roads, killed 20 members of law enforcement agencies, including police-BGB-Ansar-Army and killed hundreds of innocent people.

The BNP-Jamaat alliance had wanted to create anarchic situation in the country, they wanted to go to power through the backdoor destabilizing the country. But, the country people didnt fall to their set trap of conspiracy, she added.

Before the January-5 polls, Hasina said, her government had tried a lot to hold dialogue, even was ready to give all kinds of options to hold election under the constitution. Were even ready to form an election-time all-party Cabinet.

She went on saying: Therese no provision of any unelected government in the constitution of Bangladesh. The only one demand of ours was to hold the polls within the constitution. Were ready to give all kinds of options there, which was possible.

Extending her heartfelt gratitude to the countrys people or reelecting the AL-led alliance government, Hasina said for this her government has been able to carry out efforts to complete the unfinished development programmes alongside having the opportunity to advance the country by taking newer development programmes.

Ill call upon all of you to uphold democracy by resisting together any kind of subversive and militant act in the coming days, she added.

Terming the last one year as a successful one for Bangladesh, both at home and abroad, she said now people are in a better condition as the country is moving ahead.

The Prime Minister said 2014 was a glorious year in the history of the Bengali nation for ensuring overall development, maintaining the continuance of constitution and democracy and keeping the nation imbued with the spirit of Liberation War.

She said Bangladesh has emerged as a role model at the global stage over the last five years of the governments previous tenure as well as the first one year of this tenure due to the successful implementation of the development plans.

Elaborately describing her governments various achievements in various fields, including the economy, power and energy, communication, education, health, food security, agriculture, fisheries and livestock, social safety net, digitisation, women empowerment and good governance, Hasina said Bangladesh is now currently one of the five countries in terms of economic development in the world as it has attained 6.2 percent GDP growth rate on average.

After assuming office, the Prime Minister said, her government has strengthened the independent Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) for which corruption registered a marked fall in the country.

Hasina also renewed her pledge to turn Bangladesh into a hunger- and poverty-free mid-income country by 2021 and a developed one by 2040.

Economical condition of Bangladesh

There is a saying that when America sneezes, the whole world gets flu. Bangladesh is surrounded to what transpires in international markets and economies of leading countries. While America with its $13 trillion economy where Bangladesh's is around $70 billion dollars in GDP. Bangladesh cannot be immune from the global economic slowdown and is most likely to be adversary affected sooner or later. In the industrialized states, it has already reported that the retailer is not making money, manufacturers are not making money and the consumer is complaining because they are paying most. An unexpected gloom in the confidence of consumers is being experienced in these countries. The exports of readymade garments and knitwear to the Europe US and are likely to fall because there will be no demand in those countries where people would keep money with themselves for meeting their basic needs during rainy season. Everyone will be open with spending money for non essentials. Bangladesh needs foreign direct investment (FDI) up to 28% of GDP (almost 415 billion) every year to reduce poverty in the country. Whatever FDI was coming to Bangladesh encouraging but it may slow down considerably. Likewise foreign help will be less from the countries of G-7 to Bangladesh. It is reported that remittances during the last financial year stood to almost $7 billion dollars, 25% were from the industrial countries in the west and 75% come from the Middle East. The Middle East has not been saved from the crisis and stocks fell over in the oil-rich countries, even in Dubai. Furthermore labor laws in some Middle East countries have changed to the detriment of foreign workers. It is likely that remittances will be less because there will be jobs-cut in the countries of economic slowdown. There is one flip side of the financial crisis in that price of oil has fallen down to a level, unimaginable this season. At this time it was less than about $75 dollars, from the highest of about $147 per barrel. That would enormously help Bangladesh to import oil. The withdrawal of GSP by US causes a great trouble to the economy of Bangladesh. The Govt. is trying to get it back but in vein. If the GSP will back again Bangladesh will be able to gain good result about the crisis. Then the fundamental rights will be save, we can assume this.
