Tourism and Bngladesh



The People’s Republic of Bangladesh is in south Asia. This country is surrounded by India. The main revers of this country are the Brahmaputra, Meghna, Ganges and Padma.  Bangladesh is familiar to the world because of its dense forests, wetlands, mangroves and other resourceful places. Royal Bengal tigers are largely found in this country. Bangladesh is a developing country but it has a big area for tourists. Tourism is the foreign currency earner for Bangladesh. The country is listed as the “best valuable destination” by lonely earth. There are many historical places and monuments, resorts, picnic spots, tribal people and their living, wildlife etc. Bangladesh offers suitable opportunities for the tourists for river cruising, rowing, water skiing, angling, sea bathing, yachting as well as bringing one touch with the nature. In every city there are places for visiting. In Dhaka division there are Lalbagh Fort, Ahsan Monzil, Shaheed Minar, Jatio Smriti Soudho etc. In Chittagong there is Cox’s Bazar, St. Martin’s Island etc. In other division there are also other places to visit. Bagherhat Shat Gombuj Mosque and Sundarban situated in Khulna division. Sundarban is the biggest mangrove forest of the World. Cox’s Bazar is the largest and longest sea beach of the World. It is an amusing place for tourists. Tourism has an important role in the economy of Bangladesh. In 2013 The WTTC reported that, the Travel and Tourism industry directly employed 1.8 percent of the total employment. This takes Bangladesh in the position of 157 from 178 countries. It has a big contribution to the GDP of Bangladesh. Cox’s Bazar is the most amazing place for the tourists. It is the sea side town of the sandy beach. The beach is of 125 kilometers long. It is also known as Panova. Then comes St. Martin’s Island its area is only 8 kilometers. It is 9 kilometers away from Teknaf, the southest place of Bangladesh. It is also called as ‘Narikal Zinzira’, ‘Darucini Dip’. Bandorban district is in the southeast side of Bangladesh. It is the place of the tribes. It has turn into a most attractive place for the tourists. Rangamati is another interesting place for the tourists. It is the district with hills and it is also familiar as ‘The Lake City’. There is a heritage park named ‘Shaheed Zia Memorial complex and Mini Bangladesh’. It reflexes the structure and scenery of Bangladesh. It is in Chandgaon. A restaurant situated on the top which rotates after every 90 minutes. One can see the country's wonderful traditions, architectural beauty, and archaeological inheritance through of the heritage park. There are many other historical places. They are so beautiful that tourists can easily find love to them.
